Together with her hubby of six months Nick Cannon, a rather radiant Mariah Carey was at the 13th annual Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation's Grand Slam for Children Benefit concert in Las Vegas. Now, we generally associate lots of cleavage and skin with the 39-year-old, so it was a complete surprise that she stepped out in this sleekly simple one-shouldered gown and no traces of bare legs or low-cut anything anywhere! There was one catch however…what we thought was a covered gown turned out to be a dress with a daring bare back and only a crystal tattoo in the shape of a butterfly adorning her back! She still looks great though, and it’s such a pleasant change NOT to be confronted with miles of leg and boobs!

Lisa Marie Presley has given birth to twin girls. The babies were born by Caesarean section on 7 October and weighed in at 5lbs. 15oz. and 5lbs. 2oz. respectively.

The singer's rep confirmed: “The babies and mum are happy and healthy and resting at home.”

Lisa, 40, had previously said that she and husband Michael Lockwood, 47, were “beyond thrilled and blessed, elated and saturated in happiness” about becoming parents.

The baby girls are the couple's first children, although Lisa also has a daughter, 19-year-old Riley, and a son, 15-year-old Benjamin, with her ex-husband Danny Keough.

Lisa is the daughter of singing legend Elvis Presley. Her mother, Priscilla, had been the one to confirm the news of her pregnancy following widespread speculation, telling reporters: “She wanted it really to be kept a secret for a long time.

"And I think women should, because they should be able to announce what they’re having and when it's time to make the announcement.”

MTV Networks International announced that Katy Perry will host the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards. The event will take place in 6 November at the Echo Arena, Liverpool. This is the first time that she has acted as host at any awards ceremony. Katy has also been nominated in two categories in this year’s Awards – Best New Act and Most Addictive track. The 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards will be aired on 7 November, Friday, 8PM in Singapore and 9PM in Malaysia on MTV Asia. Katy will be joined on-stage by her fellow band members who will act as the official MTV Europe Music Awards House Band.

“I was so excited when I heard that I was nominated for two awards, but when I was asked to host the show I wet myself, Fergie-style!” Katy Perry said. “To follow in the footsteps of previous hosts Christina Aguilera, Tom Jones, P. Diddy and Snoop Dogg at this prestigious event is an incredible honour - do they know what they are getting into? I just hope that I don't spill my cocktail!”

Former Full House child stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen recently launched a new fashion line called Elizabeth and James, named after the twins’ siblings, younger sister Elizabeth and older brother James.
The dynamic duo teamed up with L'Koral Industries, a California-based firm owned by partners Peter Koral and Jane Siskin, best known for their multilabel junior business and the creation of the Seven For All Mankind brand, as well as contemporary label LaRok.

The latest launch at London’s Selfridges came just after the debut of The Row, the Olsens' directly owned high-end line, and they have currently turned their focus to the contemporary market.

"We wanted it to be based on a relationship between a young girl and a boy and tell the story through the clothing," explains Mary-Kate in an interview.

"It's a clash between masculinity and femininity," Ashley adds. The woman they had in mind when designing is in her "early 20s, figuring out life and just experimenting”.

The pieces are contemporary, easy-to-wear pieces that border on feminine and masculine aspects. The collection includes the Elizabeth blazer, which is tailored for a woman's figure, and the James blazer, which has more of a boyfriend-inspired boxy fit, washed leather jackets, tiny T-shirts as well as oversize T-shirts, pencil skirts, cashmere sweaters and chunky knit swing jackets. For a dressed-up look, the line includes silk dresses and a sequin mini dress that was inspired by one of Mary-Kate's vintage finds.

"We're always going to stay true to ourselves and what we believe is chic and flattering and fashionable," Mary-Kate says. "That's something that we really look at in the line, whether it's colour or themes or fabrics. We really think about the customer."

Elizabeth and James won’t only concentrate on clothing, but also will be releasing shoes come Spring 2009 in partnership with Steve Madden. As co-creative directors, Mary-Kate stated: “We are excited to partner with Steve Madden to create the new Elizabeth and James footwear line. With their proven experience in all aspects of design, production and distribution, we intend to take the contemporary shoe market to a new level.”
